Sunday Sessions Presents JT Bowen with Arlan Feiles

Asbury Park Music Foundation

Sunday November 18th 2018 3:00 pm –  5:00 pm

The Asbury Park Music Foundation’s recurring series Sundays Sessions will feature a special musical performance by JT Bowen and Arlan Feiles. Join us for the tales and history of two very different artists from opposite sides of the country, who music brought together. Hear the individual stories that led to these two talents working together.

This Sunday Sessions fundraiser series offers an intimate show with table seating at the Asbury Park Music Foundation's performance space, 621 Lake Avenue, Asbury Park. Proceeds from $20 ticket sales, snacks, drinks and our Music Saved Asbury Park t-shirts, benefit the music education programs for underserved youth in Asbury Park.

Arlan Feiles is an award winning Singer Songwriter, Multi-Instrumentalist and Music Producer. Discovered and mentored by the late great Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Record Producer Tom Dowd, Arlan has gone on to release five critically acclaimed records and has his music heard in many TV programs and movies, including the trailer for the Academy award winning film The Dallas Buyers Club. Arlan is equally known for his efforts supporting voting and civil rights.

"If songwriters were bad weather, Hurricane Arlan would be a category 5... He'll blow you away"

Greg Baker- The Miami Herald

JT Bowen is legendary - in the way most aspiring young singers and artists can only hope to be. He has shaped the world around him with his voice, his music, his heart, and his soul. He has brought his home, New Jersey, to the world, and has been instrumental in shaping its sound. He has inspired and performed with legendary recording artists like Gary US Bonds, Little Steven, and Bruce Springsteen, who cites JT as one of his earliest and most monumental vocal inspirations. As vocalist of The Red Bank Rockers, JT had hit songs with "Woman's Got the Power" and "Saving Up" with Bruce and the late great Big Man, Clarence Clemons, of E Street Band fame. He has lived his life through the scope of his music. A life that at times had been challenging and at times been full of spiritualism.

Together JT and Arlan have a new recording project – DIG DEEP

Songs of justice, equality and spirit are on the slate. JT first met Arlan at a fundraiser they both performed at at the Strand theater in Lakewood NJ. JT approached Arlan and simply asked "You write songs?" Arlan replied, "Yes I do" and a friendship began that would lead to the birth of this project.

Doors open at 2:30pm.

*Donations will graciously be accepted, though they do NOT count as an entry ticket.
