A Celebration of Pat Dinizio

Rick Winowski & Sam Fairley of The Scotch Plainsmen

Pat Dinizio rose to international fame, alongside fellow bandmates, with The Smithereens. Pat was not one to sit still and took on many side projects. From running for senate, to writing books and taking up residency in Vegas with a performance of “Confessions of a Rock Star”-which he later brought to Asbury Park’s Langosta Lounge. In 2008 Pat created The Scotch Plainsmen with fellow local musicians, together they performed at different venues throughout the tri state area.

Join us as two members of The Scotch Plainsmen, Rick Winowski and Sam Fairley, as they share stories, videos and perform some of Pat’s favorites.

Rick: “I first got a call from Pat to open for his side shows, with Pat asking me to join the group soon after. My friendship with Pat only grew throughout the years. When Pat and I started harmonizing together, it became a strong point of the Scotch Plainsmen shows”

Sam Fairley: “A very special time in my life to call Pat my friend, to learn from him as a musician and to have some incredible experiences because of him. Backing up Pat on acoustic guitar for his solo shows at Asbury Music Awards, Langosta Lounge, Crossroads to City Winery and the Iridium along with Mark Hudson. I don’t pick up a guitar without thinking of him.

Doors open at 2:30pm.
